How to make cream?
That is a question I get ask from time to time.
And making cream is the most simple things ever!
I use this cream for cooking.
It is just perfect for all dishes which call for cream.
And the best, you do not need any thickener for your sauce or dish,
because the cream already does the job.
And when you want to go one step further, turn this cream into buttermilk!
Yes, you heard it right. Buttermilk.
And all you have to do is,... leave it in the fridge!
I figured that out when I forgot about the cream in my fridge. When I saw it and checked on it,
it turned. The smell was pretty sour. And this smell so reminded me at buttermilk.
I was brave and gave it a go for a taste. And yes, this IS buttermilk!
And for me, I just love buttermilk. In Austria, when we visited my granny, we even took it another step further.
There was this product called Sour Milk. And this was like buttermilk, just more intense in taste and more tangy,
in a yogurt consistency. I LOVED IT. This slight tickle on the tongue from the sourness.
And this cream, when it turns, so remind me at this Sour Milk.
When it turned, I take a couple of sips from my "buttermilk" daily.
This really is it,... leave the cream in the fridge,... and it will ferment and turn.
But not for to long, you need to use it or drink it.
It turns again and that smell reminds me more at paint, brrrrrrr.
And here is what you have to do to make cream for your next,... maybe Carbonara?
Or mushroom sauce? Or a bake? Whatever you need it for!
You need:
100g of raw cashews
200ml filtered water
(just 2 ingredients, how cool is that, hey!)
Directions:

Add 100g of raw cashews into your Nutribullet or something like that machine.

And process until creamy! This is it. Can't get easier than that.
Add into a container or use straight away. How easy is all that!!!
The cream can be stored in the fridge for a couple of days until it turns to buttermilk.
