My partner told me already years ago, why I do not make some granola bars.
The ones you get at the stores are full of sugar and other ingredients we don't need and want.
Well, I do not know why I never made some. We sure missed out on that, haha.
I love quick and easy things. And this bars are really easy to make.
I personally like it really crisp. But when you like it more soft/chewy, just shorten the baking time.
To make 8 of this bars you need:
1 baking pan 20 x 20cm
baking paper
100g gluten free oats
30g desiccated coconut
30g sesame seeds
15g flax-seed meal
10g gluten free oat flour
50g raisins
1 tsp vanilla sugar***
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 pinch of pink salt
90ml Maple syrup
30ml organic brown rice malt syrup
*** I always make my own vanilla sugar. I mix organic coconut sugar with fresh vanilla seeds from a bean.
I also add the vanilla bean skin into my glass,... shake well and ready is the vanilla sugar!
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 170C
2. Add all ingredients into a bowl and mix well.
3. lay baking paper into the baking dish and add the granola mix.
Press with a spoon as firm as it gets together.
Already do cuts to make it more easy to cut when baked.
Just do one cut in the middle and each side should make 4 bars.
4. bake for about 20-25 minutes
5. remove from the oven, remove with the baking paper from the baking dish
and cool down. Cut into bars,... store in a cookie tin,... and enjoy whenever you like.
Tip:
For the bars you can use whatever you like.
Other dry fruits like cranberries, dates, apricots, wild blueberries.
Nuts, sunflower seeds.
Sprinkle some melted chocolate on top,...
...whatever you like. Be inventive and creative!
